If you want to prevent complaints, it is worth operating at the earliest possible stage of production. The quality of the components used has a significant impact on the final product, therefore any non-compliance should be detected before the production process begins.
To minimize the risk of using non-compliant or suspect components in the production process, the SGP Group offers the Supply Quality Control Assurance service. Our qualified controllers will statistically verify components within the defined Control Plan.
In the event of detecting details outside the specification, they will block the suspect stock and carry out a full control of 100% of the blocked items. The SGP supply quality engineer will issue a claim to the supplier requiring all 8D steps. Until the guaranteed delivery is provided by the supplier, our supply quality assurance department will be responsible for delivering compliant details to the production line after the SGP inspection.
Why is this worth outsourcing?
Due to the inspection carried out by our qualified staff, any non-compliant components will be detected at a very early stage. Our team take over all the operations related to verifying whether the component meets the specified requirements. These details will have the clear identification of their compliance. On the other hand, non-compliant details will be blocked in the first phase, and then, after confirmation by the customer, they will be scrapped or returned to the supplier.
After defining the root cause and defining the operation plan, the SGP quality engineer will verify the presented 8D report. If 8D presents the so-called robust Action Plan, the quality engineer will accept it in agreement with the quality manager of the customer. However, if
the analysis and the operation plan are not robust enough, the quality engineer will ask for its update. If necessary, the SGP quality engineer will audit the implementation of activities defined in the 8D report at the customer’s location.
